Umicore Electroplating is strengthening its market position in Asia

Recently, around 50 specialists and managers of the company discussed during the "Far East Meeting" industry trends in the region. Requirements for electroplating layers were explored, e. g. in the watch and jewellery industry, the manufacturing of electronic products, or chrome surfaces for automotive, machinery, and mining. Umicore Electroplating has own subsidiaries in Japan, Thailand, and Hong Kong. There are also offices in Taiwan, Korea, India, Malaysia, and other countries. Already earlier this year, Umicore Electroplating had established a joint venture with a local partner in China in order to match even better the needs of clients and potential partners in China.
